Getting in touch with NDIS service providers can be an overwhelming task so at Western Pinnacle, we lay down some information on how NDIS works and how you can apply for one.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) gives people with disabilities or carers living with someone with a disability the funding for services that can help with skill development, and/or achieving goals. This may involve:

• Employment
• Education
• Living independently
• Community participation
• Health and wellbeing

To be eligible for NDIS, you or the person you are caring needs to be:

• An Australian citizen, permanent resident or a Protected Special Category Visa Holder
• Aged under 65 years
• Having a permanent or ongoing condition that you need support to do everyday tasks.
